Cameron Kinnie had offers from Army and Air Force very late into his college process.

When he got a late offer from Georgia, it elevated his options.

The 3-star prospect from Collins Hill High School took a crucial official visit to UGA on Jan. 24 and loved everything he saw. He bypassed the need to take any more visits and was ready to be a Bulldog.

Why Georgia?

“They are elite on both fronts,” he said. “Academics and athletics.”

Kinnie tweeted out that news early on National Signing Day that he was set to become the 24th member of Georgia’s signing class. While the recruiting services rate him as a 3-star defensive line prospect, he will be a offensive lineman for new line coach Matt Luke in Athens.

Kinnie will still rate as the nation’s No. 117 DT and the No. 1630 overall recruit for the 2020 cycle on the 247Sports Composite ratings. He is set to be a center or an interior OL at UGA.

The 6-foot-3, 305-pound senior from Gwinnett County has put on significant weight over his senior season. This decision to add him to the class is just another example of just how much Kirby Smart and Georgia are going to value a prospect’s senior year film when deciding whether or not they have what it takes to play at Georgia.

This decision will only add to the trend of a strong infusion of OLs for the Bulldogs. Kinnie is now the seventh offensive line prospect out of the 24 members of the 2020 class in Athens. He also becomes the eighth member of the class from the state of Georgia.

It is a full scholarship offer for Kinnie.
