ATHENS — Georgia’s defensive line, already playing without one potential starter, is out another one on Saturday.

Freshman David Marshall, who started last week’s game, is not in uniform for the Tennessee game. Marshall was not at Wednesday’s practice for unknown reasons.

Marshall has played well this season, and is the team’s co-leader in sacks – albeit with one sack. He has nine tackles this season, and has also batted down a pass.

Jonathan Ledbetter, the sophomore who was running first team this spring, is sitting the fifth game of a suspension for his two offseason alcohol-related arrests. The length of his suspension has not been announced.

Georgia does still have good depth on the line, with starters Trent Thompson, John Atkins and DaQuan Hawkins all healthy, and freshmen Tyler Clark, Michail Carter and Julian Rochester each getting a good amount of snaps so far.
