Georgia sophomore defensive back Otis Reese is done against Auburn.

With six minutes left in the second quarter, the referees called Reese for a targeting penalty. He was subsequently ejected on the punt return. The foul set back the Georgia offense 15 yards and sent Reese to the locker room.

Reese came into the game with two tackles this season. Fortunately for the Bulldogs, he’s not a regular in the defensive back rotation, but Georgia will have to deal with his loss on special teams.

Because Reese’s ejection came in the first half, he will not have to sit out the first half of next week. Georgia leads Auburn, 7-0, with about four minutes remaining in the second quarter.
