ATHENS — Paris Johnson Jr., the No. 1-ranked offensive tackle in the nation in the 2020 class, was on the Georgia football campus with his mother and sister for an unofficial visit on Tuesday.
Johnson, a 6-foot-7, 295-pound 5-star recruit from Cincinnati who attends St. Xavier High School, has been verbal committed to Ohio State since June 28, 2018.
It’s Johnson’s second unofficial visit to Georgia this month, as he also visited on March 17. Johnson has also visited Alabama (March 22), and Cleveland.com reports he recently made a visit to LSU.
The Bulldogs have arguably the deepest and most talented offensive line and have finished as finalists for the Joe Moore Award (top offensive line) the past two seasons under line coach Sam Pittman.
There’s a good chance Georgia will need to reload on the offensive line after this season, as four starters will be eligible to declare themselves eligible for the 2020 NFL Draft.
Alabama, Auburn and Clemson are among several other schools who have offered Johnson a scholarship.
