Elijah Jeudy is no longer in line to become the next in a series of Philadelphia Bulldogs at the University of Georgia.

The 4-star prospect announced via his Twitter account that he has de-committed from Georgia. Jeudy committed to the Georgia class back on April 19.

The 6-foot-3, 250-pounder was down to Georgia and Texas A&M when he made that decision. He had hoped to see both schools on official visits prior to the pandemic settling in worldwide. Jeudy plays for Northeast High in Philadelphia.

He ranks as the nation’s No. 10 weak-side DE and the No. 171 overall prospect for the Class of 2021 on the 247Sports Composite ratings. At the time of his decommitment, he was the eighth highest-ranked prospect out of Georgia’s 16 public commits for this cycle.

Jeudy was the seventh overall pledge for the 2021 class, but now becomes the third de-commitment for the Bulldogs. Bralyn Oliver, a 3-star safety, backed off an early UGA pledge in November but has since committed to Louisville. Georgia also lost another 3-star commitment in Marlin Dean back in July but recently saw him recommit to the G.

Both linebacker spots were seen as a very big need for UGA in the 2021 cycle. The Bulldogs only signed 4-star OLB Mekhail Sherman in their 2021 class. The Bulldogs now only have OLB prospect Chaz Chambliss committed at that position for this class.

ILB prospects Smael Mondon and Xavian Sorey remain the top ILB prospects for Georgia in the 2021 cycle. The Bulldogs will also not relent in their recruitment of elite committed targets in ILB Barrett Carter (Clemson) and OLB Dallas Turner (Alabama) for this class.

Jeudy had even made his Georgia commitment on his birthday earlier this year.

Elijah Jeudy is a versatile all-around edge defender in the 2021 class. He has that twitch and explosive ability off the edge, but also the size and strength to hold up against the run. (Elijah Jeudy/Twitter)/Dawgnation)
