Georgia added to its 2019 class on Saturday.

The Bulldogs picked up a commitment from in-state defensive end Rashad Cheney. No star listing is available for the Booker T. Washington High School product.

“I want to first thank the man above for blessing me with another opportunity to play football at the next level,” Cheney wrote via Twitter. “I also want to thank my dad, my grandmother, my mom, Coach Avery, Coach Kenyatta, Chad Simmons, and my trainer John Lewis for all the sacrifices they have made more me. With that being said I want to announce that I’m verbally committed to the University of Georgia. #NewBreed19 #GoDawgs #LLJ”

The 6-foot-4, 256-pound recruit picked up an offer from the Bulldogs on Wednesday, and didn’t wait long to make his decision. He chose Georgia over Tennessee and LSU.

He becomes the third member of Georgia’s 2019 class, joining 5-star defensive end Nolan Smith and 4-star offensive tackle Luke Grffin. That’s as many prospects as the Bulldogs currently hold in their 2018 class, which consists of 4-star offensive tackle Max Wray, 4-star outside linebacker Adam Anderson and 3-star inside linebacker Donovan Georges.
