Tre’ Nixon, a 4-star receiver who could commit to UGA later this month, said Saturday’s 38-10 loss to Alabama does not affect his feelings about the Bulldogs.

“Every team has their bad games,” Nixon told the AJC’s DawgNation. “Just got to bounce back next week.”

“Tough loss for Georgia against a consistently ranked team such as Alabama. The weather looked bad which only adds more to the pressure (of trying to play well.)”

The Florida native has to watch his DVR recording of the UGA-Alabama game because he made an unofficial visit to Florida this week and saw the upset over Ole Miss. The Gators are another one of Nixon’s six finalists, along with Auburn, Ole Miss, Penn State and Texas A&M.

“I feel good about Florida,” Nixon said. “It was a great experience and they just said they are building something great, and (Florida) appreciates me coming up.”

The Viera High School senior records every game his finalists play each week on his DVR and then studies them intently.

Nixon has accelerated his timetable to commit, and will likely decide by the end of the month, if not sooner. UGA and Penn State are considered the favorites.
