Travon Walker reportedly has set his commitment date.

The 5-star defensive tackle from Thomaston, Ga., will announce his decision at 6:45 p.m. ET on Tuesday, as reported by Rivals’ Chad Simmons on Sunday. Walker, who’s 6-foot-5, 272 pounds, will choose between Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia and South Carolina.

“I took football out of it,” Walker told Simmons. “I just looked at the schools, and it was tough, but I have made my mind up.”

Recently, Walker discussed his recruitment with DawgNation’s Jeff Sentell. When asked about the pluses involved with Georgia, Walker told Sentell, “Kirby Smart just signed a 7-year deal. That is a firm foundation. You know that head coach is now committed and not moving around. I know that man will be my coach for all the years I am there if I choose to go there. I like the security there to know that he’s going to be at Georgia now.”

Walker is rated as the nation’s No. 2 defensive tackle prospect for the class of 2019, per the 247Sports composite. He’s the nation’s No. 24 overall player for his class. He represents one of Georgia’s largest remaining targets for 2019.
