Did you see the first chapter of The Season with 5-star OL prospect Jamaree Salyer?

If so, then you are likely ready by now for Chapter 2. If not, it seems like a good time for a review.

Cox Media Group is following Salyer’s senior year at Pace Academy in a different light.

Here’s the concept: Get one of the nation’s top players mic’d up. Games. Practices. Watch him throw guys around.

Mix in those sounds with a few storytelling angles afforded from some very personal interviews.

It allows the viewer the chance to really know the nation’s highest-rated interior offensive line prospect (247Sports Composite rankings) since 2006. Salyer ranks as the nation’s No. 1 offensive guard prospect for 2018.

His decision boils down to Clemson and Georgia. He’ll be at UGA this week for an unofficial visit. The 6-foot-4, 342-pound prospect will then be at Clemson next weekend on an unofficial visit.

Chapter 2 of The Season focuses on the unique relationship between Salyer and Pace Academy offensive line coach Kevin Johnson.

“When Jamaree first got here he was a big kid,” Pace Academy head coach Chris Slade said. “Big strong kid. Just didn’t have a lot of good technique. But every single day Coach Johnson would work with him. Before practice. After practice. He really pushes him.”

But there is a but with all of that.

“But Jamaree can really be coached hard,” Slade added. “You can really coach Jamaree hard. He doesn’t blink. He rises to the occasion every day in practice.”
