ATHENS — The Georgia men’s basketball team has made the SEC semifinals each of the previous three years. There’s a good chance of it being four in a row, according to the league’s preseason media poll.

Georgia was picked to finish fourth, behind only Kentucky, Florida and Texas A&M. The full results of the poll can be found here.

J.J. Frazier, the Bulldogs’ senior guard, was one of five players picked to the SEC preseason first team.

Yante Maten, the Bulldogs’ junior power forward, was picked to the All-SEC preseason second team.

Both Frazier and Maten also received votes for the preseason SEC Player of the Year, which was predicted to go to Arkansas senior forward Moses Kingsley.

Georgia is coming off a 20-14 record last season, when it made the second round of the NIT. Under head coach Mark Fox, now entering his eighth season at Georgia, the Bulldogs have won at least 10 SEC regular-season games in three straight seasons.

The season opens for Georgia on Nov. 11, when it visits Clemson.
