It was around this time last year that basketball recruit Rodney Howard narrowly signed with UGA over archrival Georgia Tech.

Surely being teammates at least for one season with Anthony “Antman” Edwards, the potential No. 1 overall pick for the NBA Draft, had to play in favor of the Bulldogs.

Now that Edwards is headed to his professional payday, Howard is exiting UGA, too. The 6-foot-10 center from Roswell, Ga., announced his destination on social media on Monday night:

The former 3-star is headed to Georgia Tech.

Howard also had heavy interest from Cincinnati and the College of Charleston, among others.

At UGA this past season, Howard played in a backup role, averaging 7.3 minutes per game, along with 1.3 points and 1.5 rebounds. He will have three years of eligibility remaining at Tech.
