Nov. 11 is set to be a big day for Georgia women’s basketball coach Joni Taylor.

It will be the first game of Taylor’s second season as head coach of the Lady Bulldogs, though the opponent is yet to be named.

And, according to Fletcher Page of the Athens Banner-Herald, it is the date Taylor is set to have her first child.

“That’s a lot of pressure on us and that poor baby,” Taylor told Page. “We say the names out loud and we scratch one off and add one on, but we haven’t got down to one yet.”

Taylor found out she was pregnant in April. According to Page, the baby is a girl.

Taylor married her husband Darius, a former assistant for the women’s basketball team at South Carolina, back in August. In her first year as Georgia’s head coach, Taylor won 21 games and got Georgia back to the NCAA tournament, following a one year absence. The Bulldogs had five wins over ranked opponents, the most by a Georgia team since the 2006-07 season.

Taylor played her college basketball at Alabama, where she would later go on to become an assistant. She was also an assistant at LSU before joining the Georgia staff in 2011.
