Georgia clinched a huge series win over Arkansas in dramatic fashion on Saturday afternoon.
The No. 13 Bulldogs took home a 3-2 win, but the Razorbacks nearly tied it up in the ninth inning. With a runner on third and one out, Arkansas outfielder Dominic Fletcher launched a fly ball to Georgia left fielder Keegan McGovern.
A sacrifice fly would have tied the game and given the Razorbacks a chance to take the lead or extend the contest to the bottom of the ninth.
Instead, McGovern did this:

McGovern also had a big day at the plate, homering in the third inning to tie the score at 1. It was Michael Curry’s sixth-inning blast that gave the Bulldogs the 3-2 lead they would relinquish.
The victory gave Georgia the series win over No. 6 Arkansas after three tight games in Athens. The Razorbacks won the series opener on Thursday, 8-6, before Georgia forced a rubber match with an 8-7 extra innings win on Friday.
Georgia’s win was especially important because it tied Arkansas in the conference standings at 18-12. The Bulldogs also improved their home record to 24-6.
Florida currently sits atop the SEC standings with a 20-9 record and one game left to play. The 2018 SEC Baseball Tournament bracket will be set later on Saturday evening.
