5-star UGA target excited to gain Todd Gurley as a Twitter follower
Welcome to Dawgnation!
Sometimes in the world of college recruiting, help that comes from unexpected places can be the difference between gaining a commit or losing one.
Fortunately for the Bulldogs, Kyle Davis, the nation’s No. 1 receiver prospect for 2016, is a big fan of former UGA running back Todd Gurley. When Davis realized that one of his favorite players was now following him on Twitter he was understandably excited.

Davis recently de-committed from South Carolina, and UGA is now considered by many to be the favorite to land the receiver from Lawrenceville.
Chris Kirschner of Dawgnation recently spoke with Davis, about comments that his father made stating that he didn’t feel UGA would develop him as well as some other schools, notably Auburn and Tennessee.
When asked about the comments, Davis responded: “He doesn’t affect my decision with any school, I can only go off of what (UGA) had in the past. I mean, they had A.J. Green and Hines Ward.”
Based on the recruit’s recent tweet, it’s surprising that he didn’t mention Todd Gurley’s name in that list.
This won’t seal the deal for the Bulldogs, but any additional motivation for the 6-2, 220-pound receiver to follow in Gurley’s footsteps can’t hurt.
Good work TG3.
