Oklahoma and Ohio State rounded out the top five. The Sooners beat Houston 49-31 on Sunday night. The Buckeyes beat Florida Atlantic 45-21 on Saturday.
Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart was pleased with his team’s decisive win in Nashville over the Commodores. But Smart made it clear he’s by no means satisfied.
“Good is not going to be good enough,” Smart said after the game, referencing the improvement needed for the Bulldogs to win a national championship this season.
“We haven’t scratched the surface of where we can go, we have so many things that we can improve on.”
