Commit! Lineman picks UGA right after getting offer
It’s never too early for recruiting.
UGA picked up its first commit for the 2019 class when Luke Griffin pledged to the Bulldogs on Saturday, according to multiple reporters.
Griffin is a 6-foot-5, 275-pound offensive lineman who just finished his freshman season at North Murray (Ga.) High School. He got the offer from UGA shortly before committing on Saturday.
UGA had a football camp on Saturday after hosting 7-on-7 tournaments the previous two days. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence, the nation’s No. 1 prospect for 2018, was also spotted with the Bulldogs on Saturday. Lawrence is from Cartersville (Ga.) High School, and UGA coach Kirby Smart will go to Cartersville for a satellite camp, presumably to impress Lawrence.
