Georgia football podcast: Zamir White won’t have to wait long for big opportunity at UGA

Beginning of the show: There are questions regarding Georgia’s running game ahead of the upcoming season. D’Andre Swift — the Bulldogs’ leading rusher in 2019 — has moved on to the Detroit Lions, and the assumption is that former five-star recruit, and the nation’s No. 1 running back from the 2018 class, Zamir White, is the next man up at the position.

However, White was lightly used by UGA a season ago, and he’s also coming off two ACL injuries in the last three years.

There’s optimism that he’s fully recovered from those setbacks and ready to thrive this season. Yet no one will no for sure what White brings to the table until he has a chance to put it on display. The good news is he won’t have to wait long for a big moment.

I’ll explain on today’s show why the Bulldogs’ game in September against Alabama is a crucial opportunity for White.
