Georgia football is the No. 1 topic every day on DawgNation Daily — the daily podcast for Georgia Bulldogs fans. Catch up on everything happening with UGA athletics with host Brandon Adams and the DawgNation experts as they break down the latest Georgia football recruiting news and discuss coach Kirby Smart’s quest to return the Bulldogs to the top of the SEC. On episode No. 1,209 (June 6, 2020) of the podcast, Georgia fans can hear a discussion about what former Florida and Ohio State coach Urban Meyer recently said about UGA running back Zamir White.

Georgia football podcast: Urban Meyer touts UGA RB Zamir White for big season

Beginning of the show: Georgia running back Zamir White was the country’s No. 1 running back for the class of 2018 and expectations were sky high for him when he enrolled at UGA. However, a knee injury suffered before the start of his freshman season was a setback, and last year White mostly served in a backup role behind the Bulldogs’ leading rusher, D’Andre Swift.

Now Swift is gone, and — despite the fact that White’s name isn’t as commonly mentioned as much as it was when he arrived at UGA — this could be the year he emerges and lives up to the hype that surrounded him at the end of his high school career.

Former Florida and Ohio State coach Urban Meyer — who recruited White while with the Buckeyes — believes that will happen.

I’ll share what he said of White on today’s show.

10-minute mark: I discuss a video shared by UGA of players arriving to campus for the start of voluntary workouts that appears to show rising sophomore Dominick Blaylock without a knee brace after sustaining an injury in the SEC championship game in December.

15-minute mark: DawgNation analyst Jon Stinchcomb joins the show. Some of the topics covered include Jon’s thoughts on how the Bulldogs offensive line compares to the rest of the SEC.

30-minute mark: I take a look at other SEC headlines including a look at four-star wide receiver Deion Colzie’s recently released top 10 finalists for his commitment.

35-minute mark: I discuss whether the threat of Florida as a challenger in the SEC East is more likely to motivate the Bulldogs to make major offensive changes.

End of show: I share the Gator Hater Updater.
