Georgia’s football team got a big boost when four of its players decided to return to UGA for their senior seasons. Much already has been said about what another year of running backs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel could mean for the Bulldogs, but the potential contribution of the other two names — outside linebackers Davin Bellamy and Lorenzo Carter — shouldn’t be overlooked.
Carter in particular is a name worth watching due to a recent post from ESPN’s David Ching indicating that Carter could be among the list of candidates to emerge as “the SEC’s next great pass rusher.”
I’ll talk about that today on DawgNation Daily — the daily podcast for Georgia Bulldogs fans.
I’ll also discuss why an improved pass rush could be critical for UGA this season due to the quarterbacks the Bulldogs are expected to face.
DawgNation’s Jeff Sentell also joins the show to share his thoughts on Georgia football recruiting. Some of the topics we cover include. …
- The latest news regarding 5-star running back Zamir White (Laurinburg, N.C.) — including the interesting apparel choice White made for a recent Twitter video
- The chances that one of UGA’s commitments for the 2019 recruiting class — DE Rashad Cheney (Atlanta) — could reconsider his college decision
- More information about 5-star offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer (Atlanta)
- And the reasons why 4-star wide receiver Josh Vann (Tucker, Ga.) thinks his offer from UGA will be “hard to turn down.”
