Podcast: Mark Richt wins recruiting battle for player of interest to UGA

Brandon Adams

Georgia needs wide receivers for its 2018 recruiting class, but one of the top potential targets is apparently no longer on the board. Brian Hightower — a 4-star prospect from IMG Academy — chose former UGA coach Mark Richt’s new home as his college choice on Wednesday when he announced his commitment to Miami. Where does that leave the Bulldogs?

I’ll talk about that today on DawgNation Daily — the daily podcast for Georgia Bulldogs fans. Plus DawgNation’s Seth Emerson joins the show and we discuss…

  • UGA’s basketball win vs. Auburn on Wednesday and the continued strong play of Bulldogs guard JJ Frazier
  • UGA’s chances of making the NCAA Tournament and its seeding scenario for the upcoming SEC Tournament
  • Seth also weighs in on UGA athletic director Greg McGarity’s recent comments regarding the fan experience inside Sanford Stadium, and shares his thoughts on two crucial issues facing the football team this spring — including how the Bulldogs deal with the absences of  defensive tackle Trent Thompson and linebacker Roquan Smith.
