Georgia’s biggest early-season game comes in Week 2 when the Bulldogs visit the South Carolina Gamecocks. That game now has a television network and game time.

CBS announced that the contest between the Bulldogs and Gamecocks will air on CBS and kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET. The network also announced that the annual Georgia-Florida game, played in Jacksonville, Fla., will be played at 3:30 p.m. The Georgia-South Carolina game will be played on Sept. 8 and the Georgia-Florida game will be played on on Oct. 27.

Last season, Georgia beat South Carolina 24-10 at home, but that game was played in the first weekend in November. Traditionally these two teams have met at the beginning of the season. This will be the first SEC game for both teams. South Carolina won 9 games last season and finished second in the SEC East. The Gamecocks are led by coach Will Muschamp.

The last time these two teams met in Columbia, S.C., was during the 2016 season, when Georgia came away with a 28-14 win in Kirby Smart’s first season.

Georgia opens its 2018 season at home against Austin Peay on Sept. 1. A game time has not yet been announced for the season opener.
