ATHENS — Here are quotes from Tennessee’s 34-31 victory over Georgia on Saturday:

Georgia offensive tackle Greg Pyke: “We won the game, and the next thing you know, we lost the game. It’s heartbreaking. I wish we could have won, but they had a good play on offense and our defense didn’t make the play. That’s just how it goes.”

Georgia running back Sony Michel: “We have more SEC opponents. We just have to keep moving forward. We have to prepare like we prepared for this game, but even better. Fix some of the mistakes and come into the next game ready to play.”

Georgia cornerback Deandre Baker: “It was sickening knowing how hard we worked. The game was up and down, kind of like a roller coaster. … For him to catch it — he made a good play — but it was sickening.”

Georgia safety Aaron Davis: “The whole sideline erupted … but I know time was still left on the clock. Ten seconds was left on the clock and the game’s never over until it’s double zero on the scoreboard. That definitely showed tonight.”

Pyke on Georgia quarterback Jacob Eason: I think he’s a great quarterback, not just from that (last touchdown) pass, but the way he’s been playing. He’s a freshman. He’s an 18-year-old kid out here playing in the SEC. He’s doing a great job, and that pass just made him look even better.”

Michel on Eason’s touchdown pass to Riley Ridley: “I knew Jacob was going to make that throw. He’s a good quarterback. That’s why he’s out on there on the field for us. We responded well.”

Tennessee coach Butch Davis: “Kind of surreal. I saw the ball, tight spiral, had good lift. I thought we had a chance. It’s one of those moments in time that you’ll remember forever. I’ve also been on the other end of them, too, and you remember them forever. I think it’s a great illustration that you play until the clock hits zeros. From my vantage point I could see him come down with the ball, land on his back, and all I could see was a mad rush to the field.”

Tennessee quarterback Joshua Dobbs: “Nobody on the sidelines said it was over. Everyone said we can still get into field goal range, we still have three time outs to use, we can run hook and ladder. We lucked out with great field position, a great return, and we were able to capitalize on it.”

Tennessee defensive back Todd Kelly Jr.: “Speechless. We were blessed with another win. The defense gave up a big play, and that’s uncalled for from our defense. We’ll go look at the film and make corrections. But at the end of the day, we won the ball game and we’re 5-0.”
