Could Georgia defensive coordinator Mel Tucker be in and out of Athens in just one season?

According to USA Today’s national college football writer Dan Wolken, Tucker is a candidate for the job opening at Georgia State.

Tucker is in his first year as Georgia’s defensive coordinator, after one year as Alabama’s secondary coach, helping Kirby Smart and Nick Saban win a national championship.

Tucker went 2-3 as an interim head coach for the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars back in 2011.
