ATHENS — UGA’s 521 student-athletes earned a cumulative grade-point average of 3.04 during the 2015 fall semester. It is the third year in a row that the Bulldogs have combined for a GPA of 3.0 or better during the fall semester.

Leading the way on the men’s side was the golf team, which claimed the honor for the highest GPA with a 3.37 average. The equestrian team logged the same GPA of 3.37 to lead women’s teams.

Among the men’s sports, the tennis team came in second with a combined GPA of 3.25 followed by swimming and diving (3.20), men’s cross-country (3.19) and track and field at 2.98.

Gymnastics came in second for the women with a GPA of 3.35 followed by golf (3.24), soccer (3.23), track and field (3.21), and swimming and diving (3.14).
