ATHENS — Senior defensive back Kennar Daniels-Johnson, who played in two games over the past two seasons, is unlikely to play this season.

“I don’t know if we’ll see him play this year,” coach Mark Richt said after Thursday’s practice, not elaborating.

Daniels-Johnson has not been seen at practice in nearly two weeks, and was not spotted at UGA’s picture day last Saturday.

He redshirted two years ago after transfering from junior college, when he was in the last class signed under then-defensive coordinator Todd Grantham and secondary coach Scott Lakatos.

Since then a steady dream of defensive backs have departed.
