Everyone offers condolences after another Georgia heartbreaker vs. Alabama
Georgia football couldn’t hold onto a big lead against Alabama on Saturday night, and the Bulldogs earned a lot of sympathy from the college football world after suffering a second gut-wrenching loss to the Crimson Tide.
The Bulldogs were up 28-14 early in the third quarter, but Alabama scored 21 unanswered points over the final 18:03 of game time to seal the victory. Crimson Tide backup quarterback Jalen Hurts’ stellar performance got a lot of attention, but fans and media couldn’t help but feel sorry for the Bulldogs too.
People were offering their condolences, questioning play calls, and lamenting another Alabama conference title. Here are some of the best reactions from around Twitter after the game, from the Georgia beat and beyond.
Boy, this one really, really stings.

I really do hate to say it but Kirby Smart and the Georgia punter cost them this game. Awful.

In all seriousness…
After a loss like that, 100 percent of Georgia’s football budget needs to go to killing the witch that obviously put a curse on the program.
