Fan Sound Off: Georgia fans react to Bulldogs’ loss to Auburn

Georgia suffered its first loss of the season Saturday with a 40-17 setback at Auburn.

The Bulldogs scored first but struggled after that and couldn’t slow the Tigers.

Georgia fell to 9-1 overall and 6-1 in the SEC, while Auburn improved to 8-2 and 6-1.

DawgNation reacted to the loss Saturday as the fans cover a lot of ground in this week’s edition of “Zaxby’s Fan Sound Off.” Here is a sampling of comments made on the DawgNation Facebook page.

Avery Edwards: I’m extremely disappointed, but now’s not the time to panic. They’ve still got a shot at the playoff. They got their asses kicked tonight and the best thing they can do is go kick Kentucky’s ass next week. Don’t let the doubters and fair weather fans get under your skin guys. GO DAWGS!!!!

Terri Sparks: Now we pray Auburn beats Alabama and wins SEC West. No way we play this bad against them again.
Still love my Dawgs.
Not so much Chaney….didn’t have Chubb and Michel to bail him out. He called worse game I’ve ever seen

Gary Padgett: To many stupid penalties an missed opportunities!!! Play calling was terrible an they played the worst I’ve see in awhile. They didn’t even show up in Auburn to play. Str8 sloppy!!! But I’m still a Dawg till I die!!#GoDawgs

Ryan Schenck: Well do we want a undefeated Bama or auburn again ?? Not sure what the committee would like more …. but make no mistake the sec championship is a must win now …… got out coached and in my opinion completely physically dominated by bigger faster stronger athletes … this may show how the West is much stronger than the east

Mike Huckeba: This will be a wake up call for the rest of the year. GA pretty much beat themselves. Sloppy play, dumb penalties & less than stellar play calling by the coaches did them in. The season is not ruined. Keep the faith Dawg fans!

Lisa Storts Lofink: Auburn defense could not be stopped. This loss hurts but there is still a lot of football left to play. Focus on the weeks that still remain and get stronger, faster and better. Win, lose or tie still with my Dawgs till I die.

Kristen Howze King: Horrible coaching! Especially the offensive play calling. First drive we threw the ball and scored. For the rest of the game we tried to run and when it wasn’t working, kept doing it! Scored that last TD by throwing. It’s not hard to understand why offense wasn’t effective.

Chad Donya Jackson Bishop: It wasn’t just an off game. I’m a big Georgia fan, but we got beat by a better team. They beat us in all aspects of the game. Offense, defense, special teams. Alabama will have their hands full.

Brenda Knight Green: We can never win the big game. Same old, same old: Dooley, Richt and now Smart. We were outmatched, outplayed, and out coached. Championship teams find a way to win. We are not a number one team.

Joe Joshua Aaron Davis: This loss will bring us down from that high horse they were on, to be honest the lost was needed now they can strive harder and want it more, just need to hunker down! Go dawgs
