Georgia football has had some missed opportunities on offense against Florida, and most people are choosing to blame offensive coordinator Jim Chaney.
Facing third-and-inches at the Georgia 20-yard line late in the second quarter, Chaney called for a handoff to wide receiver Mecole Hardman on a sweep. Hardman was stopped for no gain. Georgia was forced to punt.
After the play, media members covering the game couldn’t understand the call given how the Bulldogs had been running the ball between the tackles with D’Andre Swift.
Just me probably but I hate the jet sweep on 3rd and less than a yard. Georgia punts.

Lesson to Georgia…don't try to run wide on Florida…especially on 4th and the length of a football

Yeah, that call on third-and-short will be much debated. But bad perimeter blocking by Georgia and a great individual play by Florida.

Georgia fans couldn’t comprehend the reasoning behind the play call either.
Jim Chaney might be fired after the game if UGA loses today the play calling is brutal

For some reason Kirby Smart and Jim Chaney are obsessed with the idea of giving it to the lightest player on the team in short yardage situations. Whether it is Isaiah McKenzie against Vandy or Mecole against florida
