Florida fans still upset UGA beat out Gators for 4-star QB
It has been more than 24 hours since 4-star quarterback Carson Beck seemingly committed to UGA out of nowhere, and some Florida Gator fans are still fuming and venting about it.
You can read the story by DawgNation’s Jeff Sentell here.
No doubt, it was a pleasant surprise for UGA. Beck lives just down the road from the University of Florida (in Jacksonville), and the Gators were considered to be the frontrunner for coach Dan Mullen’s squad. Heck, Beck even acknowledged recently that the Gators were his leader to several media outlets.
Here’s a sampling of Florida fans on Monday:
The Beck failure is on Dan Mullen. We had Beck all but locked and Georgia got him on one visit. This staff needs to lock kids up much faster if they want to beat the big boys.

Call me crazy – but I trust Mullen. If he truly wants Beck he won’t stop going after him. However I think he’s fine without getting him. And he probably wouldn’t make promises that Kirby did.. We all know how far promises get Kirby though. #HatTipJustinFields

No one expects Fromm to leave early. Beck wont start untill 2022 at Fl or UGA. UGA signed 2 QB's in 2019 1 of which ranked exactly the same as Jalon Jones. Mullen got out recruited. Sad as he is a QB guy going against a defensive coach.

We see that differently. Committed means nothing. Mullen ran the perfect system for Fields. We had a much better looking depth chart than Georgia. Same way Kirby sold Beck. Mullen should’ve sold Fields. Mullen Offensive QB guru. Kirby Defensive Saban wanna be. Bad L’s we took.

Actually Mullen being such a good QB developer worked against us here. Beck knew he wasn’t going to get on the field sooner here and probably inevitably would have transferred had he come here anyways
