Florida kept its slim hopes alive for the SEC East title with a 23-6 win over Missouri.

The Gators need UGA to lose to remain in the chase.

Gators coach Dan Mullen was asked after the game for his thoughts on the Georgia-Auburn game. Here’s what he said:

“Yeah, War Eagle … I don’t think anyone thought I’d ever be saying that.

“We’re still alive to get to the SEC championship game. We need some help. We took care of our business today, and hopefully some people can help us from the (SEC) West.”

No. 11-ranked Florida (9-2) needs No. 5 UGA (8-1) to lose twice to reach the SEC Championship game, since the Bulldogs won a head-to-head meeting between the two schools. UGA plays Texas A&M next week.

If the Bulldogs win against Auburn today, they will clinch an appearance in the SEC Championship game.
