Former Bulldogs star Thomas Davis: ‘Georgia’s not afraid of Bama’
Thomas Davis says Georgia isn’t afraid of Alabama.
The former Bulldogs linebacker had a fun response when playing a word association game on SEC Network’s Thinking Out Loud recently. As relayed by SEC Network’s Twitter account on Monday, Davis said a sign from a Georgia fan that read, “We (kinda) want Bama” was fake because “Georgia’s not afraid of Bama.” So classic.
Davis played for the Bulldogs from 2002 to 2004, so you can understand his Georgia love. He has been a longtime staple of the Carolina Panthers’ defense since beginning his career with the franchise as the No. 14 overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft.
Hopefully, a meeting between Georgia and Alabama will happen in the SEC Championship Game later this year. The matchup would be amazing on a number of levels, given how strong both teams look this season.
Davis, for one, wouldn’t expect the Bulldogs to back down.
