Leonard Floyd is one of the most dynamic and athletic pass rushers in recent Georgia history. His combination of size and athleticism is what got him taken in the first round by the Chicago Bears earlier this year, and he’s enjoyed an excellent rookie season with 5 sacks so far.
This afternoon, in a game against the New York Giants, Floyd was involved in a scary collision that led to his being taken off the field on a stretcher:
The specific nature of Floyd’s injury is unknown at this time, but as you can see in that video, Floyd collides with his teammate very awkwardly.
Though he did appear to be moving all extremities in the immediate aftermath of that hit, you can see why the Bears are taking every precaution. We all hope, of course, that a precaution is all this is.
