Former Georgia linebacker Thomas Davis could face suspension after blindside hit
Former Georgia linebacker Thomas Davis could be in some trouble with the NFL commissioner’s office on Monday.
Davis drilled Packers wide receiver Davante Adams with a blindside helmet-to-helmet hit during the game Sunday between Green Bay and the Carolina Panthers.

That’s a brutal hit from Davis, who could be facing a suspension and a substantial fine.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who threw the pass that resulted in an interception on this play, said he expects the NFL to “deal with” Davis and called him a “repeat offender,” according to the Charlotte Observer.
Following a three-year career in Athens, Davis was picked in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft by Carolina. He has spent his entire career with the franchise.
