Todd Grantham returning to Athens this fall
ATHENS — Homecoming is not until next October for the Georgia Bulldogs, but there will be one of sorts for three former Bulldogs when Mississippi State visits Sanford Stadium in September.
Former defensive coordinator Todd Grantham — he most recently of Louisville — has joined the staff of Dan Mullen at Mississippi State, according to multiple reports citing sources on Wednesday. The “Maroon Bulldogs” visit Athens on Sept. 23rd this coming season.

Grantham was Georgia’s defensive coordinator under Mark Richt from 2010-13. He left abruptly in January of 2014 to accept a five-year, $1 million a year contract offer from Bobby Petrino at Louisville.
Joining Grantham in that homecoming to Athens will be former Georgia players Jonathan Abram and Chauncey Rivers. Each player transferred to the Starkville school recently.
