Former UGA star Todd Gurley may be traded in NFL soon
Former UGA star Todd Gurley might be wearing a different NFL uniform this upcoming season.
Gurley, 25, has had his name pop up during trade talks, according to the NFL Network’s Michael Silver.
Gurley has played with the Los Angeles Rams for the past five seasons, and is still a member of the team. However, Gurley hasn’t looked like himself over the last 1.5 seasons due to a knee injury.
Are the Rams ready to move on? Maybe so, but it will be challenge to trade Gurley because of his massive contract, most notably the guaranteed money. In fact, Gurley is due another $10.5 million very soon.
Charles Robinson, NFL reporter for Yahoo, thinks the former Bulldog would be a good fit for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
A team w/ the cap room to trade for the contract of #Rams' Todd Gurley? The #Buccaneers. If Tampa Bay thinks he's healthy enough for a gamble, a deal for Gurley could boost a Tom Brady pitch, too. Gurley's deal easy for suitors to exit in 2021, too. No risk it, no biscuit, right?
