Former UGA WR quarantined in Italy for next 30 days because of coronavirus
Former UGA receiver Kris Durham is quarantined in Italy for the next 30 days because of the coronavirus, per former NFL punter Pat McAfee.
Durham, 31, shot an eye-opening video (see below) from his apartment window of the surreal scene in Italy, which has been severely hit by the virus. It has more than 12,000 confirmed cases, and a death toll of more than 800.
On Thursday, Italy’s government said all shops except for food stores and pharamacies will close down.
Back to Durham: He was best buddies with quarterback Matt Stafford at UGA, but also worked hard to create a name for himself. He was a fourth-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in the 2011 NFL Draft, and played four seasons in the league.
At UGA, Durham started 15 of 47 games that he played in, finishing his career with 64 catches for 1,109 yards and four touchdowns.
