Players might be sticking to the traditional red jerseys for now, but Georgia fans should don a different color in the stands come November.
Georgia is promoting a “Black Out” on georgiadogs.com for the November 7 home stand against Kentucky, which is also listed as Military Appreciation Day.
The last black out game for the Bulldogs was for the return of suspended Todd Gurley and the 34-7 thrashing against No. 9 Auburn in 2014. The hype in the darkened crowd was dulled when Gurley went down with an ACL injury but was revitalized when Nick Chubb, who had been serving as the starting running back during the four-game suspension, hit his 1,000-yard mark for the year.
Despite the cry from fans, the university has remained adamant that there will be no alternate jerseys for players during the 2015 season.
Georgia listed the South Carolina, Alabama and Missouri games as the time for fans to pull a “Red Out.”
