Georgia fans are excited to travel to South Bend, Ind., to see the Bulldogs take on Notre Dame on Saturday. So much so that not even $3,000 in compensation could get fans to give up their seats on the plane.

Zach Klein of WSB-Atlanta documented the story. He said Delta Air Lines initially offered $2,200 for the seat on Flight 874 from Atlanta to South Bend Friday morning. Then Delta bumped the offer to $2,800 and later $3,000.

Finally, a young woman gave up her seat for $4,000 in compensation. But fear not Georgia fans. This fan still intends to make it to South Bend, just on a later flight Friday.

In what is the game of the century for fans, the Bulldogs will start freshman Jake Fromm at quarterback in the place of the injured Jacob Eason. Georgia and Notre Dame are set to kick off at Notre Dame Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on NBC.
