One day after a loss to Alabama in the National Championship Game, Georgia finished second in the final Amway Coaches Poll.

The poll was released Tuesday afternoon, with the Bulldogs behind the Crimson Tide, who beat Georgia 26-23 in overtime on Monday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Other SEC teams in the final poll were Auburn (No. 12), LSU (No. 18) and Mississippi State (No. 20).

Georgia figures to be ranked high in the preseason rankings before the 2018 season. Many key faces return for the Bulldogs, and Kirby Smart’s team will welcome high-quality young talent to Athens after success on the recruiting trail.
