All the details are coming together for the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.

Georgia and Florida will once again square off at Everbank Field in Jacksonville on Oct. 27, and CBS announced on Wednesday that it has chosen to broadcast the game as its SEC Game of the Week.

The Bulldogs and Gators will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET, and the game will be on CBS, with Brad Nessler, Gary Danielson and Allie LaForce on the call.

The annual rivalry game was the only game not in the first three weeks of the season that CBS announced broadcast plans for on Wednesday, indicating just how much the network values the Georgia-Florida matchup.

Last season, Georgia finally shook off its Jacksonville demons, avenging three straight losses by routing Florida 42-7. Former Gators coach Jim McElwain was fired the next day, and Georgia went on to win the SEC East and the SEC Championship.

The rivalry is already filled with soundbites even as it waits months away. Shortly after being named the new Florida coach, Dan Mullen took a shot at Georgia’s SEC East title with his “blind squirrel” comments.

Bulldogs fans can only hope that those words turn out the same as in 2017 when during the week before the game a Florida defensive back claimed Jake Fromm could only throw slants.

Even as Florida enters its rebuild under Mullen, this game will always have SEC East title implications, and the 2018 edition will be no different.
