Former Georgia RB Nick Chubb to have vocal role in Atlanta Braves’ Opening Day festivities
Nick Chubb, prep those vocal chords for two of the baseball fans anticipate the most.
The former Georgia running back will have a role in the Atlanta Braves’ Opening Day activities on Thursday afternoon at SunTrust Park in Atlanta. The Braves will play the Philadelphia Phillies in the season opener, and Chubb has been picked to say, “Play ball!”
What a cool honor for the former Bulldogs star.

This is a smart pick by the Braves, who will gain approval from all the Georgia fans in attendance for the selection of Chubb for this role.
Chubb, a native of Cedartown, Ga., rushed for 4,769 yards and 44 touchdowns with the Bulldogs from 2014-17. He posted 1,345 yards rushing with 15 touchdowns last season as Georgia won the SEC title, beat Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl and appeared in the National Championship Game against Alabama.
Currently, Chubb is preparing for the 2018 NFL Draft, which will be held from April 26-28.
