The best social media reactions from Georgia’s massive win over UMass
Georgia picked up a resounding win on Saturday over the UMass Minutemen, as the Bulldogs rolled to a 66-27 win. While the game was a blowout though, UGA fans still had plenty to be excited about.
We’ll begin with Justin Fields, who finally showed fans we was rated as the No. 2 overall player in the 2018 recruiting cycle. Fields led the Bulldogs in passing and rushing on Saturday. He ran for 100 yards and completed 5 of his 8 pass attempts for 121 yards. Two of those passes went for touchdowns, including a 57-yard strike to Mecole Hardman.
Needless to say, fans were incredibly excited about Fields’ performance.

Oh and as if the Fields touchdown pass wasn’t already great enough, check out Riley Ridley’s reaction to the play. He knew it was a touchdown before the ball was even caught. Ridley also hauled in a touchdown pass of his own from Fields as well.

Another Bulldog who had a big day was Tyler Simmons. The junior, yes of the “Tyler Simmons was onside” meme, scored the game’s first touchdown on a 49-yard run. He also scored on a 71-yard touchdown catch from Jake Fromm.
Of course, fans used Simmons’ big moment to remind people that he was in fact onsides in last year’s national championship game.
TOLD Y'ALL
Tyler Simmons is fast……..

It was a rough day for the personalities from SEC Nation. It started with Kirby Smart giving Tim Tebow a black Georgia jersey to wear, as a reminded that the Bulldogs took down the Florida Gators earlier this season.

Laura Rutledge also had a tough day. During SEC Nation, beloved Georgia mascot UGA tried to bolt while Rutledge was holding him. Then during the game while Rutledge was working the sideline, she got hit by two players. Fortunately she took it all like a champ.

And with the UMass game now over, many Georgia fans have moved on to Georgia Tech. And it didn’t take long for Georgia fans to start trolling the team in Atlanta.

The Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets meet on Saturday in Sanford Stadium at 12 p.m. ET. The game will air on the SEC Network and can also be heard on the radio on WSB 95.5 FM/750 AM. Georgia Tech has won the last two times these two teams have met in Athens, so Georgia will no doubt be looking for some revenge. The Bulldogs did beat the Yellow Jackets last year, 38-7 in Atlanta.
