Georgia football fans not happy with sloppy first half against Tennessee
Georgia’s first half against Tennessee was certainly something. There were some really big highs but also some lows as well. As is the case, Tennessee holds a 21-17 lead over Georgia.
The Bulldogs could not have gotten off to a worse start, as center Trey Hill sent a ball over Stetson Bennett’s head. The Volunteers ended up recovering the ball in the end zone to take a 7-0 lead.
Then the Bulldogs bounced back thanks to a strong defensive effort as well as some playmaking from quarterback Stetson Bennett IV on a touchdown run.
OMFG STETSON BENNETT!!!!!!!!!!

But with Georgia up 14-7, Georgia coach Kirby Smart made the decision to go for it on fourth and short. Bennett was stuffed, leading to a turnover. On the very next play, Tennessee’s Jarrett Guarantano connected with Josh Palmer.
From there, Guarantano connected on another deep touchdown pass to Palmer to take a 21-17 lead. The Bulldogs helped Tennessee thanks to a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty. Georgia fans were not happy with the sloppy play from the Bulldogs, as it was similar to how Georgia looked in the first half against Arkansas.
Tennessee taking shots on early downs and it is paying off.

Tennessee has adjusted mid game with their game plan from trying to establish the run game to testing Georgia vertically.

The Bulldogs did respond with a successful drive just before halftime but were stuffed on the goal line once again. The Bulldogs outgained Tennessee in the first half 225 yards to 143. But Guarantano had little issue slicing through the Georgia defense. He finished the first half 11 for 13 with 124 yards and the two touchdown passes to Palmer.
As the second half starts, many eyes will be on this game as the Bulldogs are now very much on upset alert.

Always liked in goal line situations of 1- Spreading it out with passing formation to run & 2- passing it out of a power run formation.

If Tennessee scores a TD coming out of the half 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀

The problem now – aside from the obvious complete blunders that half – is the fact that now you’ve made Tennessee fully believe it can win this game.
Vols will come out firing in the second half. Dawgs need to match the tone.

One interesting thing that television cameras caught was Jeremy Pruitt’s attempt at a mask. Naturally, this attempt drew much criticism on social media.
