ATHENS — Forget the scoreboard, Georgia coach Kirby Smart and his players have been referring to their so-called “standard” all week.

The No. 2-ranked Bulldogs left Missouri disappointed with their defensive effort after a 43-29 victory last Saturday, and they aim to make amends.

“We didn’t play to the standard of the University of Georgia,” linebacker Juwan Taylor said. “This week we have to practice well so we can step it up to another level.

“One thing, we didn’t quit, we kept pushing, but it wasn’t to the standard.”
