WATCH: Georgia OLB D’Andre Walker focused solely on future
ATHENS — If Georgia football outside linebacker D’Andre Walker has made one thing perfectly clear, it’s that he doesn’t want to think or talk about last season.
In fact, that’s about all Walker has made clear, as he often sidesteps seemingly innocent questions.

The most vocal players on defense this year?
“Pretty much everybody on the interior or outside linebacker corps, all around, because everyone has to get a call and relay the call,” Walker said.
“The defensive players providing leadership in the locker room?
“Pretty much everybody,” Walker said.

Clearly, Walker wants to let his play do most of his talking this season.

“I guess I consider myself the Alpha Wolf,” Walker said Tuesday when asked about the nicknamed the Bulldogs’ outside linebackers have given themselves.
Walker is one of the Georgia football players expected to have a breakout campaign on the field, and it’s clear he doesn’t want to say anything that could post a distraction or detraction from that.
A 6-foot-3, 245-pounder from Fairburn, Ga., Walker was second on the Bulldogs’ defense last season with 5.5 sacks and 13.5 tackles-for-loss playing almost exclusively on third down situations.
In fact, Walker has never started a game, despite appearing in 41.
Walker’s pass rush skills are undeniable, so his play against the run will be one thing many — including NFL scouts — will be looking at.
Walker indicated he’s not concerned.
“I don’t try to look at last year,” Walker said. “I try to base my game off of this year and go from there.”
Indeed, Walker’s approach is the same as it was earlier this year when he told DawgNation: “Me personally, I feel I can play every down, but that’s not up to me, it’s up to Coach (Kirby) Smart. I just have to do whatever the boss man tells me.”
