LEXINGTON, Ky. — Georgia’s suddenly-active injured list continued to grow on Saturday.

Defensive tackle Trent Thompson, one of the key players on defense, left the game in the first half with a hip injury and did not return. But the prognosis for the sophomore is positive.

“We think he’ll be fine,” head coach Kirby Smart said. “He just had a dinged-up hip.”

Senior left tackle Tyler Catalina left in the second half with what appeared to be an ankle or a lower leg injury, but Smart wasn’t sure exactly, and did not have an update yet on the severity. Isaiah Wynn shifted to left tackle to replace him, with Dyshon Sims coming in at left guard.

Receiver and kickoff returner Reggie Davis left with an AC joint (shoulder) sprain. That’s why freshman Mecole Hardman was back for Kentucky’s kickoff late in the game.
