Georgia opens as slight underdog against Oklahoma
Georgia learned its assignment for the College Football Playoff on Sunday, and the Bulldogs have opened as a slight underdog against Oklahoma.
As relayed by ESPN Chalk’s David Payne Purdum, the Sooners have opened as a 3-point favorite against Georgia for the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1, per the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook. It’s an intriguing matchup between the Big 12 champion and the SEC champion.

We’ll see if Georgia can continue its momentum in Pasadena. The Bulldogs looked strong in routing Auburn on Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta in the SEC Championship Game.
Oklahoma enters as one of the nation’s premier teams with quarterback Baker Mayfield as one of the country’s showcase players. He is this year’s likely Heisman Trophy winner.
