ATHENS — When it’s 40 degrees out, and you’re the strength and conditioning coordinator for a football team, it’s pretty clear what you need to do: Dress like a crazy person.
Scott Sinclair, Georgia’s S&C coordinator, not only was dressed in shorts and a T-shirt at Friday’s practice, but had his sleeves rolled up. He also appeared very excited about it, moving from position group to position group, trying to fire everyone up.
It made for an interesting contrast when Sinclair went over to the defensive linemen, where assistant coach Tracy Rocker was bundled up with a head-warmer, long-sleeve jacket, and generally the way one would to avoid having their mother tell them they’re going to die of hypothermia.
As for football matters, nothing too much new to report.
Quarterback Greyson Lambert was absent, but Friday was graduation day, and Lambert is due to get his master’s degree. Brice Ramsey was getting snaps with the second team in Lambert’s absence.
Safety Quincy Mauger was also not seen. Mauger is also graduating, but it’s unclear whether that’s why he wasn’t out there. Reggie Wilkerson was working with the first team in Mauger’s place.
And on the offensive line, Dyshon Sims was getting some work at center. It’s expected that starting right guard Lamont Gaillard will be next year’s center, but Sims continues to get snaps there as well.
OK, here are more photos of Sinclair:
