Georgia QB Jacob Eason reveals ‘craziest atmosphere’ he has played in so far
The craziest atmosphere Jacob Eason has played in so far?
This might be a surprise to some, but he says it was his first game in 2016.
In a question-and-answer session with 247Sports’ Tom Loy published Monday, the Georgia quarterback was asked about the craziest atmosphere he has experienced in his young college career. His response: The Georgia Dome in a season-opening 33-24 victory over North Carolina in Atlanta last season.
On the craziest atmosphere he has played in so far…
“I think probably the Georgia Dome, the home opener. … North Carolina. Big game. … It was a cool, first experience.”
Certainly, there were a few options for Eason with this answer from the 2016 campaign.
How about the wild atmosphere in Athens during Tennessee’s 34-31 victory over the Bulldogs on Oct. 1? Or Georgia’s 13-7 victory over Auburn on Nov. 12 at Sanford Stadium?
Eason completed 8 of 12 passes for 131 yards with 1 touchdown in that win over the Tar Heels. That was likely an emotional day for him, given that he made the transition from prized prospect to college quarterback that afternoon.
Still, it’s interesting that he mentioned a neutral site game as the “craziest atmosphere” he experienced so far.
