Georgia stays at No. 7 in Amway Coaches Poll after blowout win over Kentucky

Georgia rebounded after its first loss of the season with a 42-13 pounding of Kentucky on senior day in Sanford Stadium and stayed put in the Amway Coaches Poll at No. 7 in the nation.

The Bulldogs (10-1, 7-1 SEC) did a lot of damage on the ground, rushing for 381 yards, led by Nick Chubb’s 151 yards and 2 touchdowns. His partner in the backfield, Sony Michel, rushed for 3 touchdowns.

Alabama remained at No. 1 in the poll as the Crimson Tide defeated Mercer 56-0 on Saturday in a warmup for the Iron Bowl against Auburn, who stayed at No. 6 after a victory against Louisiana-Monroe.

Mississippi State, which survived an upset attempt at Arkansas with a last-second touchdown pass by Nick Fitzgerald, moved up two spots to No. 17 while LSU, victors in a wet game in Knoxville over Tennessee, moved up three spots to No. 18.
